We are waiting for something, put it aside hoping that someone else will do this for us, etc. In fact, there’s nothing difficult in doing the dirty job. Just take water, vinegar and some cloth you’re using in the kitchen and do not feel sorry throwing away afterwards, and clean your coffeemaker.

Take your coffeemaker, clean its filter from coffee grounds and put it aside. Make the vinegar- water mixture: when I first decided

Good news for everyone who drinks coffee by the gallon.

National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences researcher Serena Dudek says caffeine strengthens nerve cell connections in a small area of the brain, which can explain why those who regularly drink coffee or highly caffeinated energy drinks can gain a temporary boost in mental sharpness.

Dudek’s research team fed caffeine to laboratory rats and found that even at lower doses, caffeine dramatically increased signaling between neurons in an area of the rat hippocampus called CA2. The hippocampus is an area of the brain that is important for forming memories.

Coffee roasters are caught in a grind.

There is a lull in supplies of arabica beans, the most widely consumed variety of coffee, after rain damaged output in Colombia and Central America. Meanwhile, Brazil's harvest, expected to be large, is months away. Prices still are at historically high levels, even though they have come down considerably from the near-14-year settlement high of $3.0490 a pound hit by the front-month futures contract in May.

Last year's surge in arabica prices prompted some roasters to substitute robusta beans in certain blends. Robusta is an easier-to-grow variety that is less expensive because its taste is

The decision earlier this month barring sales of Ethical Coffee capsule by Metro AG’s Media Markt stores doesn’t match a ruling in a St. Gallen cantonal court that overturned a similar prohibition against another retailer, the Fribourg, Switzerland- based manufacturer said today in a statement.
